PROJECT Overview
Prefabrication of pipelines for a new power generation system at a cement manufacturing facility in Qatar. The scope included material sourcing, fabrication of pipe spools according to isometric drawings, and preparation for installation.
Challenges & Execution Approach
The project involved a broad range of pipe diameters (DN25-DN1000) and demanded stringent quality control. To meet these requirements:
• Materials were procured and prepared to meet precise technical standards
• Each weld underwent radiographic, penetrant and visual inspection for full quality assurance
• Hydrostatic testing was conducted on every spool to ensure operational integrity
• Sandblasting and application of a three-layer coating system were executed according to technical specifications
• Fabrication processes were closely aligned with on-site installation schedules to optimize workflow
